REAL TIME CLOCK
This feature allows the user to set the speed of the simulation to real time or to a multiple of real
time. This is useful in on-line SCADA applications or for operator training in which GPS-X acts
as a virtual plant.
The parameters for this feature can be accessed at the bottom of the
General Data > System > Parameters > Simulation Set up form (Figure 15-8). The Real Time
Synchronized Mode parameter will switch the real time clock ON or OFF. When the real time
clock is ON, the simulation speed is equal to a multiple of real time. The multiplication factor
used is specified by the Real Time Accelerator Factor. (i.e. setting the accelerator factor to 24
causes one simulation day to take one real hour). Note, the real time clock feature forces the
Communication interval to be equal to one second.
