The second set of stoichiometric parameters consists of yields. The relative amounts of<br />

chemical components produced by the biological reactions in the anaerobic digester are<br />

specified by these yields.<br />

Other stoichiometric parameters in this sub-menu are the dissociation constants used to<br />

calculate the ionized components in the pH model incorporated in the basic model. The<br />

dissociation constant for ammonium (kncon) is defined for 20 degrees Celsius and is<br />

temperature sensitive, i.e., the model corrects it for temperature changes using the<br />

following equation:<br />
