Function description<br />

SPECIAL FUNCTION BATCHING FUNCTION SUPERVISION<br />

MAXIMUM BATCHING<br />

TIME<br />

Use this function to specify a maximum batching time.<br />

All valves close once the specified batching time elapses, (see functions CLOSE VALVE<br />

1...2, see page 153 ff.).<br />

This function can be used for safety reasons, for example, to ensure all batching valves<br />

close in the event <strong>of</strong> a system fault.<br />

User input:<br />

0...30000 s<br />

Factory setting:<br />

0 s (= deactivated)<br />

" Caution!<br />

• When the batching quantity is adjusted (reduced/increased), (see function BATCH<br />

QUANTITY (7203) on page 148) there is no automatic adjustment, i.e. this value must<br />

be determined again and reentered, (see also fault message # 471 in the Operating<br />

Instructions <strong>Proline</strong> <strong>Promass</strong> 83, BA 059D/06/en, Troubleshooting Chapter).<br />

• Batching (START) is not possible when the fault message is active!<br />

! Note!<br />

• The function is not active if you enter 0 s (factory setting).<br />

• This means that the batching valves are not closed by means <strong>of</strong> this function.<br />

• As a factory setting, this function is assigned a fault message. This appears for<br />

60 seconds. The fault message can be acknowledged earlier by changing a batching<br />

function.<br />

• If this function is intended more for general monitoring purposes or if there is a short<br />

time lapse between two batching processes, it is advisable to assign this function to a<br />

notice message, (see function ERROR CATEGORY on page 181). However, while the<br />

notice message is active (60 seconds) the next batching can be started and the notice<br />

message is acknowledged.<br />

• This function can be output via the switch output.<br />
