Use this function to enter a tag name for the measuring device. You can edit and read this<br />

tag description via the local display or the HART protocol.<br />

User input:<br />

max. 8-character text, permissible: A-Z, 0-9, +, –, punctuation marks<br />

Factory setting:<br />

“_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _” (no text)<br />

TAG DESCRIPTION<br />

(6001)<br />

Use this function to enter a tag description for the measuring device. You can edit and<br />

read this tag description via the local display or the HART protocol.<br />

max. 16-character text, permissible: A-Z, 0-9, +, –, punctuation marks<br />

Factory setting:<br />

Use this function to define the address for the exchange <strong>of</strong> data with the HART protocol.<br />

Addresses 1...15: a constant 4 mA current is applied.<br />

HART PROTOCOL<br />

(6003)<br />

Use this function to display if the HART protocol is active.<br />

Display:<br />

OFF = HART protocol not active<br />

ON = HART protocol active<br />

The HART protocol can be activated with the selection 4-20 mA HART or<br />

4-20 mA (25 mA) HART in the function CURRENT SPAN, (see page 64).<br />

WRITE PROTECTION<br />

Use this function to check whether the measuring device can be write-accessed.<br />

Display:<br />

OFF = Data exchange is possible<br />

ON = Data exchange disabled<br />

Factory setting:<br />

OFF<br />

Write protection is activated and deactivated by means <strong>of</strong> a jumper on the I/O module<br />

(see Operating Instruction <strong>Proline</strong> <strong>Promass</strong> 83, BA 059D/06/en).<br />
