Plan<br />
This is where the major change is located! They call it treesync. You can sync one computer with an ancestry<br />
tree. Then you have access to it everywhere you go, as long as you have internet connectivity. You can work<br />
on your tree on your computer and on the web. It will keep track of the changes and when you sync the two<br />
the information moves both directions. This will also allow you to give access to those you want to share with.<br />
Click on Upload and Link to Ancestry.<br />
Name your tree, uncheck the “allow others to see your tree….” Box, select Manually sync. You don’t want the<br />
tree to be constantly be syncing while you work on it.<br />
The media can take a long time in the first upload, so start the first<br />
up load and leave it. Once you have the tree up there, it does not take as long to upload.<br />
Uploading time varies greatly because of file size variance.<br />
People<br />
Added “blended families” option that lets you display all of a couple’s children in one location.<br />
An icon<br />
next to a child’s name lets you see at a glance whether he or she is the child of the father, mother, or<br />
both parents.

Sources<br />
When you link an individual to a source citation from the work space you can now select multiple facts at the<br />
same time by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on each one. You can now merge to citations together,<br />
so if you have duplications, you can clean them up easily.<br />

Smart stories can be about a family just not one individual.<br />
Added ability to name show relationships between two people on the Descendant Chart.<br />
Added generation labels on charts.<br />

Added ability to include person, research, relationship, or fact notes in Notes Report

Added an Index of Individuals Report that lists people with their birth, marriage, and death dates. It is<br />
available through Person Reports.<br />
Ability to change the descriptive sentences for each fact or event. for Ahnentafel, descendant report, or Smart<br />
Story. You can change the wording of these sentences and also choose what data is included. You do this<br />
through manage facts and their properties.<br />
The patch added an Undocumented Facts report. This shows which individuals and facts in the trees<br />
haven’t been sourced. It is through the Source Reports.<br />
It also added the ability to exclude items in the Task List available through Person Reports

There are additional options for the Outline Descendant Report in the Relationship Reports. You can<br />
choose a line from one person to another. See Descendant Charts for options.<br />

Discard is through a drop down box.<br />
The reference note with the name was not staying in the source no matter what you did. The recent patch<br />
fixed that problem. You still have to hit the edit button as in 2011, but at least it is staying selected.<br />
