Grand Auction Rules
Rule 1. If any dispute shall arise between two or more bidders, the item in dispute shall, at the discretion of the
auctioneer, be put up again or resold, or the auctioneer may decide the dispute and his decision shall be final.
Rule 2. All items will be at the purchaser’s risk immediately after the fall of the hammer. No exception shall be taken to
any of the items on delivery.
Rule 3. Payment by the successful bidder can be made after the closure of the bidding at the Humpty Dumpty Cash
Desk where payment can be made by cash, cheque, MasterCard, AMEX or Visa. Payment in full on the night of the
auction is expected, a deposit is mandatory.
Rule 4. All prizes have been kindly donated by Humpty’s good friends and supporters therefore we must insist that
where expiry dates are included, there will be no extensions permitted. All sales are final and there will be no exchange
or refund on items.
Rule 5. Items cannot be passed on to any third party for re-sale or raffle.
Rule 6. Airfares included in travel packages purchased at the Humpty Ball are not redeemable for cash nor are they
eligible for upgrades. Frequent flyer points cannot be accrued on these airfares.
Rule 7. Reservations for all trips, parties and/or similar events must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise
specified. All arrangements for trips, parties and similar events must be made in sufficient time for the necessary
arrangements to be made. No refunds will be allowed on travel packages for cancelled tickets and accommodation.
Rule 8. All auction items must be collected before 12.30am, 24 November 2013. Where items cannot be collected on
the night, they will be taken to the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, Talus Street, St Leonards 2065. Items can be collected
between 9.00am – 5.00pm, from 25 November 2013.
Rule 9. Any items not paid for and removed in accordance with these rules will be sold by public auction or privately.
This process is at the risk and expense of the former purchaser who shall be held liable for any deficiency that may arise
from resale with costs incurred.
Rule 10. Notwithstanding any of the Rules and Conditions, as listed on this page, the operation of the auction remains
at the discretion of the Auctioneer and the Humpty Dumpty Foundation Limited.

LOT 4 – MEMOIRS OF PORTUGAL
With appreciation to Georgina Hart
Each year, acclaimed Sydney artist Georgina Hart creates a specially designed piece of art just for
the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. This year Georgina has offered a very personal creation inspired by
her recent trip to paint in the Algarve in Portugal!
Whilst in Portugal, Georgina spent time in a charming fishing village with church bells ringing,
cobbled pathways, friendly faces and streets lined with bougainvillaea. The town is surrounded by
remote islands with stunning wildlife, providing an amazing backdrop for this ‘one of a kind’ painting.
The artwork is 150cm x 150cm and acrylic and inks on canvas.
Georgina describes her style as ever evolving and seeks to express in her paintings the joys of love,
friendship and happiness with compositions celebrating the simple things in life. Each painting tells
its own story and is painted with a spontaneous passionate exaggeration and is a feast of visual
stimulation and riotous fun, capitulating the viewer into the world within.
“It is my passion for life, beauty of nature and life’s precious moments that are a constant source of
inspiration which I hope to convey through a sense of tenderness and emotion in my works. My goal
as an artist is to bring these qualities together into one experience for the viewer.”
Georgina is a Sydney artist whose works can be viewed at her gallery in Middle Cove where she works
in studio space behind the gallery. Georgina also has paintings in collections right across Australia,
Asia and Europe, including a range of artwork on P&O and Royal Caribbean ships and artwork on
Hesketh Wine Labels in South Australia. Georgina also welcomes commissioned work.
