as meddling " no whit with Millitarie execution, but al<strong>to</strong>gether with Morall<br />

government, necessarie for a perfect soldier," exemplified from the Hves <strong>of</strong><br />

famous generals, Greek <strong>and</strong> Roman. It is, he says, "a member or small<br />

parcell " <strong>of</strong> a larger book, entitled '* The <strong>English</strong> Mirour," <strong>to</strong>o voluminous<br />

for speedy publication.<br />
