Contents. This oil, called " Magistral Oil," was introduced in<strong>to</strong> Spain in<br />

1566 by a Moor, <strong>and</strong> its composition was for a long time kept secret ; "but<br />

at this present day," says<br />

the author, " the whole realm <strong>of</strong> Spain useth none<br />

other medicines what manner <strong>of</strong> hurt or wound soever it be."<br />
