<strong>of</strong> the enemy, whose ordnance, however, was still more inefFecftive, merely<br />

wounding two <strong>of</strong> the <strong>English</strong>. Archers <strong>and</strong> harquebussiers were employed<br />

in conjundlion, <strong>and</strong> did good service, the former shooting down the Scotch<br />

gunners before they could fire <strong>of</strong>f their guns once. The work is not equal<br />

Contents. These orders, drawn <strong>up</strong> shortly before the invasion <strong>of</strong> France<br />

by Henry VIII. in 15 13, were issued for the governance <strong>of</strong> the <strong>English</strong> army<br />

during that expedition, <strong>and</strong>, according <strong>to</strong> Collier, were first printed in the same<br />

year by Pynson. The preamble is on verso <strong>of</strong> title-page j there are 53<br />
