he writes, "I haue endeuoured ... <strong>to</strong> frame these Discourses concerning<br />

Armes, Honour etc., ... a subjedl proper <strong>to</strong> Armorists . . . not h<strong>and</strong>led<br />

heret<strong>of</strong>ore in our <strong>English</strong> by them, or any other <strong>to</strong> my knowledge.'*<br />
