hayride filled with family oriented thrills, chills and adventure at <strong>Lake</strong><br />
<strong>Metroparks</strong> Farmpark. Along the way expect to see the usual and unusual<br />
suspects that haunt the woods each year in October.<br />
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, September 3, <strong>2013</strong> for <strong>Lake</strong> County residents,<br />
September 10, <strong>2013</strong> for out-of-county residents.<br />

Fright Site Adoption<br />
Open to groups with adult supervision, ages 12 and older<br />
This is your chance to be creative and have a blast at the same time.<br />
Adopting groups come up with a design, build the site, create costumes and<br />
then come out and put it into action. Once you have adopted a site, you will<br />
set up work dates and times to meet your schedule between September 22<br />
and October 9. A site supervisor will guide you through the process. Contact<br />

Come out to the farm and see antique farm machinery in action, sample<br />
corn treats and apple butter, learn to shell and grind corn, make a cornhusk<br />
doll, decorate a pumpkin (pumpkin purchase required) to take home and<br />
test your skill in the corn maze.<br />
Magical Whooloween<br />

Crows are cool and vultures are very ready to celebrate Whooloween with<br />
you! Enjoy a non-scary night hike, fireside stories, live animals up close,<br />
and a train ride through Pumpkin Forest! March in the costume parade and<br />
make a craft. This fun-filled night will feature our amazing neighbors, the<br />
turkey vulture, the crow and others.<br />

Dryland Sled Dog Challenge<br />
November 16 & 17, races 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Farmpark<br />
Join mushers and their teams from the United States and Canada as they<br />
compete for the best time over a two-mile course. Enjoy the excitement<br />
of dogs and humans working together. Meet the dogs and handlers and<br />
discover this exhilarating sport open to all breeds of dog. Regular Farmpark<br />
