The Art of Expression since 1584
Hahnemühle FineArt – Germany’s oldest artist paper mill – has been making artist papers for traditional painting and
printing techniques for more than 420 years. The Digital FineArt Collection combines the elegance and uniqueness of
genuine artist papers with the impressive look of modern FineArt prints.
T h e A r t o f E x
The range includes papers and canvas in a variety of weights and surface
textures. Photographers and artists use the genuine mould-made, cotton
and alpha-cellulose fiber papers treated with a premium inkjet coating for
exclusive photographic and digital artworks as well as painting and photo
reproductions. This is an impressive way to combine the precision of digital
print media with the wonderful charm and feel of traditional FineArt papers.
By working closely with leading inkjet printer manufacturers we can ensure
that the papers, technology and inks are optimally coordinated.
Hahnemühle FineArt inkjet papers and canvas are acid-free and extremely
age-resistant. Multiple awards by TIPA, BIPP and American Photo confirm
the outstanding quality of our products.
The Digital FineArt collection is divided into three categories: Matte
FineArt - artist papers with matte surfaces in smooth and textured finishes,
Glossy FineArt - artist papers with a glossy finish and Canvas FineArt -
canvas made from cotton or poly-cotton.
The world’s first digital fine art paper made from
bamboo fibers
Spiritual Photography
Bamboo is the first fine art inkjet paper made of 90% highly renewable bamboo fibers, hence helping
to conserve valuable natural resources. In addition to its classy feel and elegant appearance this paper
possesses the image quality synonymous with Hahnemühle, achieved through its wide color gamut,
extreme color density and sharpness as well as good contrast. The paper’s natural basic tone makes it
ideal for FineArt prints with 3-D pictorial depth.
Hahnemühle has been able to bring the famous photographer Justin Guariglia, who has achieved critical acclaim for his work in China,
on board for the start of the bamboo campaign. His internationally sought-after spiritual images from the Shaolin Temple in China are
depicted on the product’s green packaging. The travelling exhibition “Shaolin – Temple of Zen” – organised by the American Aperture
Foundation and supported by Hahnemühle – will be on tour in the USA and later in Europe from 2008 to 2011.
Further Information about the photographer and the ‘Aperture Foundation’ under www.guariglia-chen.com and www.aperture.org
Green Rooster – Hahnemühle’s Environmental Initiative
Environmental protection is an issue that concerns us all. That is why Hahnemühle is donating a fixed
amount from the sale of each product bearing the green rooster sticker towards a conservation project.
The fixed amounts are as follows:
• $1 for 8.5x11“ boxes
• $2 for 11x17“ and 13x19“ boxes
• $5 for 17x22“ boxes and all roll sizes
