Public Relations<br />
Public Relations activities create mutually beneficial relationships between an organization and its various constituencies.<br />
The EBCH will be able to connect with key individuals in <strong>the</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> using public relations strategies and<br />
tactics.<br />
Goals<br />
1. Create and raise awareness<br />
2. Connect and engage with current and potential donors<br />
by keeping <strong>the</strong> EBCH “in <strong>the</strong> news”<br />
3. Connect and engage with relevant media (i.e., journalists,<br />
TV reporters)<br />
4. Connect and engage with relevant policy makers<br />
5. Facilitate donations/fundraising<br />
Why PR<br />
1. Low cost means of connecting with target audiences<br />
2. Helps keeps EBCH top-of-mind leading to increased<br />
awareness and consideration/preference<br />
3. Does require staff members to attend to PR activities<br />
