Established in 2003, the subsidiary company <strong>HSE</strong> Italia is involved in supporting electricity<br />
trading activities in the Italian market. The company acts as a link between <strong>HSE</strong> and its<br />
partners to facilitate potential investments in the territory of Italy. Prior to Slovenia’s entry<br />
into the EU, the company represented a basis for the establishment of balancing groups in<br />
the territory of the EU.<br />

The company <strong>HSE</strong> Balkan Energy, which is based in Belgrade, was established as a result<br />
of <strong>HSE</strong>’s expansion to SE Europe. Serbia plays an important geographical and energy role<br />
in its region. It also has a developed electricity system and important resources such as<br />
water, coal and geothermal energy. The company trades in electricity and assists the <strong>HSE</strong><br />
Group in its expansion to SE Europe.<br />

Electricity trading<br />
The company <strong>HSE</strong> Hungary was founded in 2006 with the aim to establish connections<br />
with electricity markets of Central and Eastern Europe, mainly with Poland, the Czech<br />
Republic and Slovakia.<br />
In 2010, <strong>HSE</strong> acquired a limited licence for trading in Hungary and took over the sales<br />
of electricity. Throughout 2012, <strong>HSE</strong> Hungary did not perform electricity trading activities.<br />
After the final settlement of operating receivables at the beginning of 2012, voluntary<br />
liquidation procedures for <strong>HSE</strong> Hungary were started. Official strike-off the companies<br />
register took place in March 2013.<br />
