Services to older people, people with a disability and carers who live in the
Marrickville Local Government Area. These include food service programs
(including meals on wheels, centre based meals, multi-cultural meals,
speciality meals for dementia clients); information, assessment and referral;
home visits and escorts; social groups including Tom Foster Senior, Chinese
Seniors and Sydenham, Tempe and St Peters Seniors, and activity programs.

Description:
Services for: all groups in the community, with a focus on art, culture,
employment training initiatives and community events. Programs include:
Music programs, Arts programs, Employment programs (including Lights,
Camera, Action ), Exercise classes, Dance rehearsals, Playgroups, After
school care, Vacation care, Youth program, and Community events, such as
Harmony Day, Family Culture Day, NAIDOC, Reconciliation Day and
Community barbecues. The centre also has Meeting room hire, Exhibition
space hire, Performance space hire and Sound recording studio hire. The

Services for: Children, young families, people with physical and intellectual
disabilities, older people, outreach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders,
local community groups, people from culturally and linguistically diverse
background, and Carers. Programs include respite and support services,
community services, legal advice, tenant forum and gamblers anonymous.
Activities include: dance classes, yoga, knitting, drumming, paper craft and
discussion groups, children playgroups, seniors choir and broadband kiosk,

SHNC offers advocacy, information and referral to all about community
services available and referrals to government agencies and support groups.

Description:
A venue for sports, recreation, learning, and arts and crafts, that caters to the
needs of seniors, people with disabilities, children and Chinese speaking
people of the community. Services include: sports competitions, table tennis,
indoor and outdoor court hire, sports equipment hire, martial arts classes,
yoga, Tai-chi, art classes, aged and disability services, and seniors activities.
Services for children include: playgroup, after school care, and vacation
care. A social worker is available for counselling and the centre offers hall
and room hire.

The centre provides a range of services and activities, including: community
information and hall and meeting room hire. Activities for children and

range of services, including home support, health and mental illness, anxiey

Description:
They provide information, referral and advice, run education programs, offer
activities and classes for children, young people and families. These include:
men’s groups, mums space, vacation care and after school care, tutoring and
homework centre, and Aboriginal health program. They also provide a drop
in centre for youth aged 13-24, and advocacy, referral and counselling for
homeless or at risk youth.

The centre is mainly a referral centre but offers courses in literacy, English

The centre offers a range of services and activities with a particular focus on
seniors (over 55’s). Activities include: handicrafts,yoga, computer club,
