Description
Port initialization not using the correct sequence (initialize routes before resetting FIFOs; disable all loopback modes as
part of initialization; power up SerDes before processing IFCB).
Config parameter change: enable use of Fibre Channel MAC instead of NIC MAC address. Previously reserved bit 7 of
Port Configuration Options is now defined for this new feature. When this bit is set, Fibre Channel MAC address is used
as the source MAC address for outgoing LLDP/DCBX and Pause frames. When this bit is reset, the NIC MAC address is
used instead.
Allow transmit to be disabled by default. Previously reserved bit 17 of Link Configuration Options is now defined for this
new feature. When this bit is reset, MPI comes up with transmit enabled (the default behavior in older firmware). When
this bit is set, MPI comes up disabling transmit in SerDes and shuts down the laser output on the optical SFP, causing the
link to go down.
Occasionally no link after switching from internal loopback to external.
MPI firmware leaves SCL low after SFP Read/Write mailbox commands.
Get DCBX TLV mailbox command causes MPI to hang.
Link fails to come up when using "host init" feature.
Fixed PortID TLV length issue. The function lldpRxProcessFrame was using the Chassis ID length for the
PortID length. Fixed the increment frame pointer to the next TLV before de-referencing the Port ID length.
MPI firmware should not automatically enable the SFP transmitter during init and port reset.
SFP access needs to be more robust. Upon SFP insertion, continue to perform VPD validation until successful.
Can report link up when SFP is invalid.
Allow user to enable and disable transmit in Set Port Configuration command. User can also choose to disable transmit
during runtime by issuing Set Port Configuration command with bit 17 set.
No MPI linkup event when issuing Set Port Config mailbox command to enable HSS loopback with no transceiver present.
Fixed the error where Set DCBX Control Block mailbox command always returns a 4005h failure status.
Fixed the recovery procedure for FIFO errors so that MPI firmware does not hang.
4. Known Issues
The MPI firmware, version 1.40.0, has the following known issues:
None.
5. Additional Information
