Mills is located immediately off
of Highway 580 in Oakland at
the junction of 580 (MacArthur
Freeway) and Highway 13
(Warren Freeway), approximately
seven miles from the Bay Bridge.
There are three MacArthur Blvd.
exits from 580 east, so please
follow the directions carefully.

From the North: Take I-580 east
(MacArthur Freeway) toward
Hayward-Stockton. Take the
MacArthur Blvd. exit between the
High St. and Seminary Ave. exits.
Bear right onto MacArthur Blvd.;
Mills' front gate is immediately
ahead on your left.
From the South: Take I-580
west to the MacArthur Blvd./High
St. exit just past the junction with
Highway 13. Turn left at the stop
sign and proceed under the
freeway overpass. Turn left at the
stoplight onto MacArthur Blvd.
Mills' front gate is immediately
ahead on your left.
Campus Parking
Guests must pick up a date-stamped parking pass at
the Security Gate upon arrival, and may park in any
non-residential lot or unrestricted parking space. Campus
residents, commuters, faculty, staff, and regular visitors
must purchase a parking pass from the Department of
Public Safety in Sage Hall. More parking information is
available on the Mills College website (www.mills.edu).
Accessibility Information
Mills welcomes students and visitors with different physical
abilities. A number of our campus buildings are already
partially accessible (ground floor only) or completely
accessible for wheelchairs. We are improving accessibility
of other, older buildings as rapidly as possible. If you would
like detailed information about the accessibility of particular

Public Transportation
Public transportation schedules and information are
available through the Mills College Department of
Public Safety.
AC Transit: The following AC Transit buses stop at
Mills' front gate: 57, 805, NL, NX, and NX3.
BART: Take a train to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport
station. Transfer to AC Transit bus 805, which will stop
at Mills' front gate.
Deliveries to Campus
Small packages should be brought to the Mail and Copy
Center in Sage Hall (enter from Seminary Avenue). Large
loading dock deliveries should be delivered to the
Corporation Yard at the end of Pine Top Road. Maximum
trailer length is 24 feet. Deliveries may not be left at the
Security Gate.
