PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The low fire flame is weak or
unstable
• Low fire adjusted too low
• Not enough gas
Increase low fire gas setting
Check start-up settings and
adjust to increase low gas flow
The burner goes off when it
cycles to high fire
• Not enough air
• Insufficient air
(flame too rich)
Check sart-up settings.
Investigate any change, i.e.
blocked filter, loose connections
Check start-up settings
Check air filter, clean or
replace if required
The burner is erratic and
does not respond to
adjustment
The burner is unstable or
produces soot or smoke
Cannot achieve full capacity
• Flame signal weak
• Internal damage to the
burner. Some parts
inside the burner my be
loose or dirty
• The air/gas ratio is out of
adjustment
• Air filter is blocked
• Gas pressure is too low into
the main gas pressure regulator
Check condition of flame
monitoring device
Contact your Eclipse
representative or the Eclipse
factory
Measure all the gas pressures
and air pressures.
Compare to initial start-up
settings, and adjust them where
necessary
Clean or replace the air filter
Adjust gas pressure
• Increased furnace/chamber
pressures
• Poor piping practices
Re-check setup pressures
