Unit unpacking, control of damages after the transport or the storage 

Unit unpacking, control of damages after the transport 

On receipt which is an integral part of the delivery, check carefully that all details are correct. That parts 

which are marked in the receipt as an extra accessorie (they are not a part of the unit event. are not inbuilt 

in the unit) check the entirety to the delivery (generally they are packed separately) and also their integrity. 

Damages should be reported to the carrier and to Stavoklima Sales Office immediately and mentioned into 

the carrier documentation. 

Unpacking is made by loosing the steel hooks or nails on the side parts of the air curtain. Take off 

carefully the battening. Keep the unit until the mounting in the plastic counterpart all the time. 

Storage of the unit, other transport recommendation 

Mind the packing labels placed on the unit. It is not allowed to tip the unit and give it into the different 

transport positions than it is delivered and recommended by the producer. The packings display also the 

serial number and unit type for easier orientation. 

The unit for further transport and/or manipulation has to be transported again only in the original package. The package has 

been tested and you can damage the unit by using a different type of package. 

Permissible storage conditions: -10°C ÷ 50°C humidity 50-85% without condensation 

For the transport and handling use only vehicle with proved and sufficient lifting capacity, all manipulation 

with the vehicles must be performed by a qualified person. 

Before the final mounting don´t remove the original package (you will avoid the unit and package 

damage). For safety manipulation are recommended at least 2 persons. 

Safety instructions 

Pay attention to the general valid laws for given country especially ČSN 12 2002 and other linked rules. At 

any service intervention the unit must be disconnect. Connection and earthing of electric unit or its parts 

have to correspond especially with ČSN 332190, 332000-5-51, 33 2000-5-54. All electrical investigations 

must be performed by a qualified electrician according to the notice §6 ČBU No.50/78 law. 

Central heating 

Respect the instructions according to ČSN 060310 

Don´t exceed the max. working pressure and temperature. 

Fire safety 

Respect the standards and valid rules for given country. Especially ČSN 061008, ČSN 730823. Place the 

unit 150 mm from a flammable substance with the grade B, C1, C2 and from slightly flammable 

substances C3 400 mm and 1000 mm in the emission direction (air outlet from the unit).

Basic information about the product, usage, application 

Air curtain is an equipment, which protects the heated area against entering the cold air inside (in the 

summer season also protects against the warm air entering into the areas which are air conditioned). 

These equipments are suitable to be used in standard areas that means without a humidity. They are also 

not suitable for the areas with elevated dustness, for excessive cool or hot operations - allowed 

temperature range in the area is 5-40°C ! 

As a separating medium it is possible to use either circulation air of room temperature or circulation air 

heated by an alectrical or hot water heater. In air conditioned areas you can save a big part of costs 

connected with cooling the area. Full power of the air curtain can be guaranteed only by regular servicing. 

Each of the operational component units is accessible and easy to maintain. 

Technical conditions for unit operation: 

max. working medium temperature 90°C / pressure 1,6 Mpa 

max. surrounding temperature 40°C / degree of protection IP 44 

operating voltage 230V-50Hz (if it is not ordered in different voltage) 

The unit is intended for basic and nonagressive environment. 

Filtration quality of inbuilt filter (only at water heated a.c.) is G2.

The air curtain Arcus (Arcus-x) is designed as a vertical air curtain with the medium connection (electro 

cables) from bottom part of the unit (in case the customer doesn´t want it in a different way). The bottom 

part of the unit is composed of basic anchorage plate, residual stud and bottom side plate of the air 

curtain, which is a part of the air curtain. On delivery you will receive from the producer these parts put 

together through the plastic stripes (only because of the transport reasons). Before the mountaing it is 

necessary to take away the anchorage plate so you cut the stripes. The access to the basic plate is possible 

after opening the suction grill, which is also an inspection cover at the same time. The grill is openable 

after removing the plastic end caps and demounting the Alien screws. Be careful when demounting the 

basic plate to avoid while dropping any injury or damage of the part.

According to the picture hereunder do the preparation for anchorage (inner) plate of the side plate on the 

building floor. The building floor has to be in final stage of the construction work that means after coating, 

concrete, pavement or with final surface! Mark the anchorage places and drill out the holes for the 

connectors and anchors. Check the absolute horizonatl level of the basic plate! Pass through the hole for 

electro all the connection cabels and fix the plate on the prepared medium pipes. 

!!Placement of the mediums and the ending length make accurate according to the wiring diagram!! The 

cables for connection leave free min. as the unit height (some of the cables go up to the top part of the 

unit).

The outside side plate is usefull firstly as a copy-pattern. The anchorage plate (intern side plate of the a.c. 

has got identical holes as the copy-outside side plate). Settle the outside side plate on the steady and 

prepared floor and copy all the holes (for the anchorage, water heated medium and also electro cables). 

After drilling the holes settle the anchorage connectors, do the preparaiton and wiring of the water heated 

medium and pass through all the electro cables. Afterwards settle the bottom side plate in alignment with 

the drilled holes and settle the air curtain into the laid outside side plate. Into the internal side plate give 

the screws and washers and tighten them up sufficiently with settled anchors.

Preparing for electro connection, fuse and setting 

Electro investigations must be performed by a qualified person according to ČSN 34 3205 and notice No. 50- 

51/1979 law. Electro connections make exactly according to the delivered wiring diagrams. Don´t forget to do the 

corresponding protective earthing. Always think over the suitability of recommended cable connections with regard 

to fire section of the building, protective distance, fuse and stage of the building electro installation. 

After the mounting check carefully everything and do the initial unit revision. Don´t forget also to fill in 

the data about mounting into the warranty card. Check the fuse function for the internal circuits 

(exchanging of the fuse is described hereunder) and setting of the unit time item (setting of the time item 

described hereunder). Do also all prescribed bridges - from preventing of complicated searching fault 

source. Also assure yourself about the function of external elements (accessories), which can have 

substantial influence on the right unit function. 

Electrical connection 

Do all connections of prepared cables to the grips according to the applied electro documentation, afterwards 

check the connections, earthing and finally switching on the power supply. 

The electro-holes for cables are always placed by default in the lower part of the unit - anchorage and sliding 

plate (pic.). When doing electrical services it is necessary to open - tip the exchanger and pass through the 

cabels into the heat exchanger bushings. When doing the connections mind the cables can´t be too short and 

also too long, as this would stand in the way to close the exchanger. So see to it that you won´t squeeze the 

cable into the exchanger. Electric terminal box is accesible after opening the suction grill and unscrewing the

See to it, that the cable won´t be distortioned or however deformed. The free endings of separate cable wires 

leave long enough because of easy manipulation, not before you will be sure the wire is long enough make 

the shortening. The hole for the electro-cable is intended as for the power suplly cable entry, but also for all 

others controlling cables. 

All electrical work should be carried out in accordance with current regulations in given country and according 

to ČSN 12 2002 and other linked rules. At any service intervention the unit must be disconnect. Connection 

and earthing of electric unit or its parts has to correspond especially with ČSN 332190, 332000-5-51, 33 2000-

Optional accessories to the unit - according to the equipment level 

Door contact 

The door contacts are delivered as an accessorie when ordered, they are for the electro equipment 

system with the connection possibility of this door contact. These contacts are placed on the door leaf 

or any door part to give a signal of the door position (open - closed). At the mounting applications, 

where there is this signal contact a part of the door delivery it is not necessary to use this another 

door contact. 

Mechanical door contact DKM 

Mount the contact on the door leaf in that way, that the door opening will 

cause its switching. The mounting consoles are not a part of the delivery, it 

is necessary to fit them according to the particular request and mounting 

situation. Place the contact always on the fixed part of the door! 

Technical parametres: 24V / 3A - AC 15, switching contact 

Electro-magnetic contact - DKMG 

Mount the contact on the door leaf in that way, that the door opening will cause its switching. The 

mounting consoles are not a part of the delivery, it is necessary to fit them according to the particular 

request and mounting situation. Place that part of the contact with a cable always on the fixed part of 

the door!

Setting at Ditronic plus - via USB 

If you have the controller Ditronic plus, you have the possibility to set the controller via interface USB. 

For setting install the programm DIPARAM incl. needed components and drivers. Choose the right 

version of the operating system (WINDOWS XP or VISTA). You can do the setting while running the 

unit or only via PC(out of unit). The setting programm is an identical copy of controller menu.

All the units are tested and cerefully checked by the producer before the expedition. The most common faults come 

from misunderstandings of the function or wrong connection. That´s why keep exactly the producer regulations, you 

will prevent a difficult faults searching. Don´t try to run the unit under different connections - the unit can run in a 

short-time as you want and expect, but this may cause irreversible losses and damages. There is no guarantee due to 

this operation.

Basic information about the service and unit maintenance 

Air curtains Arcus (X) are made of parts of high quality, which don´t claim any special maintenance. To reach a long 

life-time at the unit we recommend to do a regular maintenance in prescribed periods according to own consideration 

of the unit running and application. 

Quarterly attendance: 

check the unit anchorage and event. tighten up all screwings. Check also screwings at the outblow blades - they are 

accesible on the inside plates, tightening up of the middle blades make with turning of the blades (tightening up of 

the inside thread pin). 

check the space of the heat exchanger and keep clear from dirt or foreign objects (with a vacuum) 

check the purity of the motor body and inside or outside parts of the unit. Don´t wash the motor body! Just wipe it 

with a damp cloth - danger of damage the wiring of the motor; after cleaning the motor don´t switch the unit on for 

at least 60 min - let it dry. When wiping the outblow blades and grill procced carefully - the blades are fragile - 

damage danger!! 

check unit safety security for prevention from electric shock in accordance with respective ČSN standards or with valid 

standards given for your country incl. earthing checking 

Before all maintenance on the unit it is necessary to switch off the power supply. Current injury danger. 

All electrical work should be carried out in accordance with current regulations in given country and according to ČSN 12 2002 

and other linked rules. At any service intervention the unit must be disconnect. Connection and earthing of electric unit or its 

parts has to correspond especially with ČSN 332190, 332000-5-51, 33 2000-5-54. All electrical investigations must be 

performed by a qualified electrician according to the notice §6 ČBU No.50/78 law. 

Make inquiries at the producer or distributor about the servicing contract. You will achieve by this a 

regular service and a perfect care of your bought unit. 

Important warnings 

Air curtains are intended for prevention of losses the warmth or cold, filtration and heating event. with mixing 

accessories for ventilation. Other usage doesn´t correspond to the determination. Non-professional handling, 

encroachment into the units and at any incurred loss the supplier will not be responsible. By using the units you 

have to follow the instructions in this operating manual. 

Mounting, electric assembly and modifications must be performed by suitable qualified person according to §6 notice 

78/law or according to valid notices and standards for given country. Also the medium connection must be performed by 

a qualified company.
