Though it wasn’t the actual
day of her birth so many
years ago, Roz was happy
to celebrate the historic
event on a humpday in
mid-January. The 12th to
be more accurate.
Some fifty-plus dart players were
happy to help Roz get her groove on
at Ringers, along with Brett, Ringer’s
owner, and his faithful staff, who
went above and beyond that night.
Brett had planned a big $600 Payout
dart shoot for the evening and invited
everyone with a January birthday to
come out and play in the tournament
absolutely free of charge. And trek on
over to Ringers they certainly did too.
The bar was jam-packed with familiar
faces from around the dart community,
plus a few new players that had
inadvertently gotten wrapped up in
the excitement and found themselves
throwing darts for the very first time.
And who was running the tour-

Ringers picks up the pace
nament Well, that would be Cindi of
course, but she made it clear that she
was just helping out temporarily, having
just “retired” as coordinator. She
had the sign up sheet full of names,
ultimately employing 25 teams for
the event.
Tony Ashworth, longtime dart
stud, managed the bar and kept everyone
all liquored up for the night. He
was offering the dart players a $3.50
One Night Stand special that night
to go with the big ol’ cake someone
brought out with Roz’s name scrawled
across the top.
State was just a week away, so
many of the players were hoping to
keep their throwing arms loose, and
the social aspect of these tourneys is
just another reason for getting their
butts to the bar that night. Ringers
is a fantastic atmosphere for darts, if
you’ve never been. They’ve got a big
open center island perfect for seating
within and around. The party is
always good and fun at Ringers Pub
in Mountlake Terrace. Brett works
hard to keep his bar clean and updated,
not to mention full of bodies.
Speaking of bodies, have you met any
of his staff Besides Tony, he’s got a
pretty gorgeous staff of servers that
are real easy on the eyes. Tony’s not
bad I guess, if you’re into that sorta
thing, y’know.. guys.
Lots of players from down south
came out to support Roz that night too.
It was kind of a melting pot of Puget
Sound dart players – a gigantic and
fun party smack dab in the middle of
the week.

for more information on upcoming dart
shoots in February, but I know that
Mondays and Wednesdays are their
regular weekly shoots nights. They’ll
get things started up around 10pm
after league matches are all wrapped
up. They’ll get a pretty good turnout
for these weekly shoots too, but their
Special Event shoots are off the hook.
Get in and check ‘em out sometime this
month for a great time, and bring your
appetite, because the food is really good
and fresh. In fact, on Monday nights,
they provide all-you-can-eat spaghetti
night for just five bucks! Wednesdays
is for wing-lovers… just 25 cent wings
all night long baby!
