2. In the Convert <strong>PDF</strong> to preferences, click Word & Rich Text.<br />

5.5 Extracting images and text<br />
The export text & images functionality lets you quickly extract all text and images from your <strong>PDF</strong> files. The<br />
output places all the text content into a plain text file and extracts each image to a separate JPEG or PNG<br />
file, depending on the type you chose. The functionality has settings for controlling the output, including:<br />
· Image quality and type. Lets you change the dots per inch (dpi) of the images when extracting, as<br />
well as exporting images as JPEG or PNG files.<br />
· Detect paragraphs. Allows you to wrap paragraph lines together, making the text content easier to<br />
re-purpose. If this setting is not turned on, a line break is added at the end of each line where the<br />
break appears in the <strong>PDF</strong> file.<br />
To extract all text and images from a <strong>PDF</strong>:<br />
1. Do one of the following:<br />
· On the Home tab, in the Export group, click Text & Images .<br />
· Click the <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Button , click the Export slideout, and then click Text & Images .<br />
2. Choose your output settings, and then click Convert.<br />
To extract all text and images from a batch of <strong>PDF</strong> files:<br />
1. On the Home tab, in the Export group, click the arrow beneath Text & Images and then click<br />
Convert Multiple Documents .<br />
2. Choose your output settings, and then click Convert.<br />
