To export a batch of <strong>PDF</strong> files to Microsoft Word:<br />

Exporting from <strong>PDF</strong> 31<br />

1. On the Home tab, in the Export group, click the arrow beneath <strong>PDF</strong> to Word . and then click<br />

Convert Multiple Documents.<br />

2. Choose your output settings, and then click Convert.<br />

To set the <strong>PDF</strong> to Word conversion preferences:<br />

1. Click the <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Button , and then click <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Preferences.<br />

2. In the Convert <strong>PDF</strong> to preferences, click Word & Rich Text.<br />

3. Choose your settings and then click OK.<br />

5.4 Exporting <strong>PDF</strong> to Rich Text<br />

<strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> <strong>Professional</strong>’s export functionality lets you convert <strong>PDF</strong> files into the RTF format so you can<br />

re-purpose your content in WordPerfect, Open Office or another word processing application. The<br />

functionality lets you export a range of pages, whole files, or whole collections of files in the one task.<br />

Note: It’s technically impossible to convert a <strong>PDF</strong> to a rich text file so that the layout and<br />

formatting is exactly the same. <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> <strong>Professional</strong> does its best to provide you with a<br />

reusable rich text file that retains the look and feel of the original <strong>PDF</strong> document.<br />

Export settings<br />

There are several settings that give you control over the output <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> <strong>Professional</strong> produces.<br />

· Images. Lets you export bitmap-based images, set the dots per inch (dpi) of the extracted images,<br />

and specify whether to extract them as JPEG or PNG images.<br />

· Lines & shapes. Lets you export vector- or path-based graphics. These are often used in logos,<br />

charts, table, and drawing shapes.<br />

· Metadata. Lets you export the document title, author, subject and keyword property fields to the<br />

same fields in the RTF file.<br />

· Page range. Lets you choose between exporting a specific range of pages or all pages.<br />

To export <strong>PDF</strong> to rich text:<br />

1. Do one of the following:<br />

· On the Home tab, in the Export group, click <strong>PDF</strong> to Rich Text .<br />

· Click the <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Button , click the Export slideout, and then click <strong>PDF</strong> to Rich Text .<br />

2. Choose your output settings and then click Convert.<br />

3. Optionally, click the Choose Pages button to limit the conversion to a specific range of pages.<br />

To export a batch of <strong>PDF</strong> files to rich text:<br />

1. On the Home tab, in the Export group, click the arrow beneath Rich Text and then click<br />

Convert Multiple Documents .<br />

2. Choose your output settings, and then click Convert.<br />

To set the <strong>PDF</strong> to Word conversion preferences:<br />

1. Click the <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Button , and then click <strong>Nitro</strong> <strong>PDF</strong> Preferences.
