Greg Duggins is the Cyclone head
football coach. Coach Duggins is a
1983 graduate of Bishop Ward. Coach
Duggins played football at both
Bishop Ward and Emporia State where
he received his undergraduate degree.
Coach Duggins recieved his Masters
from the University of Kansas. He
serves as Dean of Students at Bishop
Ward.
Mike Beaven has
coached at Bishop
Ward for fourteen
years. He is a 1986
graduate of St. Joe,
Shawnee, and the
University of Kansas.
Mike and his wife,
Michelle, have two
children, Mackenzie, 7
and Andrew, 4.
Jerome Tucker, Assistant
Head Varsity Coach, begins
his fifth season as a football
coach for the Cyclones.
Jerome is a 1994 Cyclone
graduate. He is a physical
education teacher at Christ
the King.
Travis Grosdidier returns for his
sixth year with the Cyclones and his
fourth year coaching football. He’s a
native of St. Joseph, Missouri, and a
‘93 graduate of Bishop Leblond High
School. Coach Grosdidier teaches
Physical Education and coaches
baseball at Bishop Ward.

Aaron Medved joins
the Cyclone staff for the
‘06 season. Aaron is a
1996 Graduate and a
football alumnus of Bishop
Ward.
Eric Sutulovich returns as a varsity
assistant coach. Eric graduated from Bishop
Ward in 1992 and has coached fooball at all
levels, most recently with the NFL’s
Houston Texans and the University of
Kansas. Eric played at the college level at
Lousiana Tech University. He is married to
Melissa and they have two girls: Sage, 3, and
Ellie, 1.
Jason Denton returns to
the Cyclone Coaching staff
for the 2006 season. Jason is a
1994 graduate of Bishop Ward
and was the varsity
quarterback for the 1993
season.
Nick Tomasic a 1990 graduate of Bishop
Ward, joins the varsity coaching staff this
year. Coach Tomasic graduated from KSU,
received his Masters in Fine Arts from the
University of Northern Ilinois, and
continued his studies in Italy. He teaches
Ceramics. Coach Tomasic played football at
Bishop Ward and was chosen as the E.J.
Grosdidier MVP in baseball.

Dennis Hurla begins his 12th year
as a Cyclone Coach. Coach Hurla
attended KCKCC and Missouri
Western. This is Coach Hurla’s 4th
year leading the Freshman football
team at Ward. His other
responsibilities at Bishop Ward
include managing buildings,
grounds, the stadium, equipment,
and transportation and serving as
our award winning head baseball
coach. He has two sons: Tony, 22,
and Andy, 19.
Nick Muder’87 begins his
first season as a Cyclone coach.
Coach Muder attended
Benedictine College and
KCKCC. He has been the
Athletic Director at St. Patrick
School since 2001. He is married
to Angie’87 and has three
children: Cole, class of 2010,
Torrie, class of 2112, and Alex,
2020.
