We are looking for teaching staff for all areas, but
especially for the following programs …
FINE ARTS
We are looking for Music and other Fine Arts
teachers. NCSD’s Fine Arts Program features Music,
Visual Art and Drama K-12, and includes a visiting
artists’ program, special projects (e.g. mural design), a
district student art procurement program, a traditional
music initiative and drama and music festivals. Schools
are well-equipped with music and art equipment
and funding is also provided for students to travel to
exhibits and performances.
FRENCH
Parlez-vous français NCSD requires more
French teachers for schools throughout Central
Newfoundland. We have a great French program
with Core French offered throughout the district,
French Immersion at select schools and continued
growth in Intensive Core French (ICF), including annual
student camps. There is also a strong professional
development program for French teachers. Our
district participates in a wide range of federally
and provincially funded projects for French Second
Language education.
STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
(PROGRAMS DIVISION)
NCSD regularly recruits specialists for
the Student Support Services Sub-Division. Such
specialists provide programming and enhanced
supports to students as needed. In addition to the
recruitment of specialists, NCSD continuously recruits
special education teachers.

There are program specialists for curriculum in
French, Mathematics, Fine Arts, English Language Arts,

There are also program specialists who support
primary-elementary, intermediate and high schools.
Program specialists work closely with teachers,
especially new teachers, to assist them with curriculum
delivery.
