Varilip ® PDR TM Busak+Shamban manufacture and supply PTFE <strong>Rotary</strong> Shaft <strong>Seals</strong> for applications<br />
where elastomer seals cannot provide a satisfactory sealing solution.<br />
Through the development of both a standard range of seals and an ever increasing<br />
demand for bespoke custom designs, B+S have accumulated over 35 years experience<br />
in designing and specifying PTFE shaft seals for use in a wide range of applications in<br />
compressors, pumps, gearboxes, mixers, machine tools, blowers, bearings, hubs,<br />
crankshafts, separators and a variety of specialist equipment.<br />
The properties of the PTFE grades used allow a wide operating temperature range of<br />
-100°C to +260°C whilst providing superb chemical resistance.<br />
<strong>Seals</strong> can be produced to accommodate pressures up to 2 MPa and w<strong>it</strong>h specific<br />
designs surface speeds in excess of 90 m/s can be successfully sealed.<br />
Particular benef<strong>it</strong>s can be achieved through the integration of a custom seal into the<br />
surrounding system hardware and designs can be produced which are optimized to the<br />
specific sealing requirements of the application, such as endurance, power<br />
consumption or heat generation.<br />
