and Wellness Center <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Christine</strong> E.<br />

<strong>Lynn</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong> holds a special<br />

place in many local families’ hearts.<br />

Located on <strong>Florida</strong> <strong>Atlantic</strong> University’s Boca<br />

Raton campus, the Memory and Wellness Center<br />

<strong>of</strong>fers a wide range <strong>of</strong> services and programs to<br />

individuals who are experiencing memory loss<br />

and their caregivers.<br />

for the caregiver who faces many<br />

challenges in caring for a family member<br />

with memory loss.”<br />

“The Memory and Wellness Center is truly a gift to<br />

our community, providing a special place for families<br />

to bring loved ones,” said Nancy Quick, president<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Caring Hearts Auxiliary, which supports and<br />

raises funds for the programs <strong>of</strong> the Memory and<br />

Wellness Center.<br />

The Caring Hearts Auxiliary holds two fundraising<br />

events each year: Shades <strong>of</strong> Green and Keep<br />

Memories Alive. More than 250 people participated<br />

in the second annual Keep Memories Alive walk in<br />

2007, which raised $35,000 for the Center.<br />

Originated four years ago to honor the Center’s generous<br />

benefactors, Lou and Annie Green, Shades <strong>of</strong> Green is a cocktail<br />

party fundraiser. To honor <strong>Christine</strong> <strong>Lynn</strong>, a former nurse, the<br />

Caring Hearts Auxiliary dedicated the funds raised from the 2007<br />

Shades <strong>of</strong> Green to increase the Center’s pr<strong>of</strong>essional nursing staff.<br />

In addition to participating in events, the Auxiliary <strong>of</strong>fers a variety<br />

<strong>of</strong> volunteer opportunities throughout the year. For information<br />
