Hurricane Sandy moves All Saints Trunk or Treat indoors<br />
All Saints hosted a Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October<br />
31. It originally was scheduled to be held in the parking lot<br />
but due to the rain and wind from the remnants of Hurricane<br />
Sandy, it was moved indoors. Pictured at the event<br />
are fifth grade students from All Saints Catholic School<br />
with their creative costume choices.<br />
‘Home for the Holidays’ parade, tree lighting November 25<br />
Downtown Perrysburg,<br />
Inc. (DPI) is preparing for its<br />
annual “Home for the Holidays”<br />
parade, Sunday, November<br />
25, from 4 to 6 p.m.<br />
<strong>The</strong> parade will begin at<br />
4 p.m., beginning at Toth Elementary<br />
on East Seventh<br />
Street to Louisiana Avenue<br />
to Front Street.<br />
Area individuals, organizations,<br />
teams, scouts, students<br />
and businesses are<br />
encouraged to participate in<br />
the Home for the Holidays<br />
parade.<br />
Participants may enter the<br />
staging area no earlier than<br />
2:30 p.m. and must be in position<br />
no later than 3:45 p.m.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re is no fee for parade<br />
entries, and there will be no<br />
“Santa Claus” persons permitted<br />
in the parade–with the<br />
exception of the DPI invited<br />
special guest.<br />
Tree Lighting<br />
<strong>The</strong> tree lighting ceremony<br />
will take place at 5<br />
p.m. at Hood Park. <strong>The</strong>re will<br />
be entertainment, community<br />
caroling and lighting of the<br />
tree.<br />

Reuthinger Preserve. Help<br />
prepare native seeds collected<br />
by volunteers to be propagated<br />
in the greenhouse or<br />
sown out in the parks. No experience<br />
is needed, and all<br />
the work will be done indoors<br />
in the heat.<br />

Dr. Tracey Needham<br />
was named the Ohio Optometric<br />
Association’s<br />
Young Optometrist of the<br />
Year for 20<strong>12</strong>.<br />
Dr. Needham was<br />
awarded this honor due to<br />
her many activities on both<br />
the local and state level.<br />
She said she is especially<br />
proud of her work regarding<br />
benevolent projects for<br />
area children.<br />
Dr. Needham joined<br />
Quality Family Eyecare,<br />
Inc. in 2010 and is a graduate<br />
of Ohio State Univeristy<br />
College of Tracey Needham<br />
Optometry. She and her<br />
husband Greg reside in Whitehouse.<br />

host a presentation on “Understanding<br />
Your Pathology<br />
Report” by Dr. Stephen Strobel<br />
on Monday, November<br />
19, from 6 to 8 p.m.<br />
Dr. Strobel is a local<br />
pathologist with St. Vincent<br />
Mercy Medical Center. He<br />
has published research on the<br />
benefits that cancer patients<br />
gain from understanding their<br />
pathology reports. Often the<br />
pathology report is interpreted<br />
by other doctors for<br />

Historic wedding show planned<br />
by <strong>Rossford</strong> Methodist Church<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Rossford</strong> United Methodist Church<br />
will present a fund-raising program in April<br />
2013, “Weddings Past and Present.”<br />
Judy Sikorski is compiling a small book<br />
displaying photos of early weddings in<br />
<strong>Rossford</strong>.<br />
<strong>The</strong> photos can be of the bride and<br />
groom or the wedding party. All photos<br />
must be signed and the wedding dates included.<br />
Photos will be returned. Copies of<br />
photos are also acceptable.<br />
<strong>The</strong> event will feature a fashion show of<br />
wedding gowns worn through the decades<br />
and models wearing their mothers’ or<br />
grandmothers’ gowns.<br />
All Saints Christmas concert to be Dec. 9<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>11</strong>th annual Toledo<br />
Symphony Christmas concert<br />
at All Saints Catholic<br />
Church in <strong>Rossford</strong> will be<br />
held on Sunday, December<br />
9.<br />
<strong>The</strong> performance will be<br />
filled with a collection of<br />
holiday and classical favorites<br />
from the symphony’s<br />
repertoire led by conductor<br />
Jeffrey Pollock.<br />
It also will feature trumpet<br />
soloist David Kosmyna<br />
and Jennifer Perry Edwards<br />
as the soloist.<br />
Ms. Perry Edwards is an<br />
international champion barbershop<br />
singer who sings<br />
lead for the barbershop<br />
quartet Moxie Ladies, who<br />
were recognized as the first<br />
place Champion Quartet at<br />
the 62nd annual Sweet Adelines<br />
International Convention<br />
and Competition in<br />
2009.<br />
Ms. Edwards performs as<br />
lead vocalist and banjoist in<br />
the traditional jazz band,<br />
Chuck Taylor and the Dixie<br />
Squid.<br />
Her performances as a<br />
soloist and ensemble member<br />
have spanned the globe,<br />
including Poland, Germany<br />
and across the United States.<br />
She has taught vocal<br />
music, music theory and<br />
composition and theater for<br />
eight years and currently is<br />
vocal teacher for Lake Middle<br />
and High Schools. She<br />
earned a bachelor’s degree in<br />
music education and a master’s<br />
degree in education.<br />
In 2008, she was honored<br />
with the Music Educators<br />
National Conference/ Sweet<br />
Adelines “Music Educator<br />
‘Understanding Your Pathology Report’ topic<br />

common areas of misunderstandings,<br />
and offer group<br />
discussion.<br />

will be used as examples, with<br />
