This SIM DIS (Simulated Distillation or GCD) Method is used to
determine the boiling range distribution of gasoline and gasoline
components. ASTM Method D-3710 is used for petroleum products
and fractions with a final boiling point of 500°F (260°C) or lower. By
having an insight into the composition of the gasoline blend, essential
data for the calculation of vapor pressure and a prediction of the D-86
distillation curve can be made.
ASTM D-3798 Analysis of p-Xylene by GC
AccuStandard’s R & D team has developed a special highly purified p-
Xylene designed for ASTM Method D-3798 specifications. The
incorporation of this p-Xylene into the formulation allows the analytical
chemist to qualitatively and quantitatively measure the impurities in the
p-Xylene feedstock streams.
