The program leading to an Associate of Science degree with an<br />

emphasis in Business Administration is designed for students planning<br />

to transfer to Oregon State University to <strong>complete</strong> a baccalaureate degree<br />

in the College of Business. It is important that students check with a<br />

business transfer curriculum advisor before enrolling in these classes.<br />

Student Learning Outcomes<br />

Students who successfully <strong>complete</strong> an Associate of Science degree in<br />

Business Administration will:<br />

• Demonstrate the ability to utilize business computer applications<br />

and specifically, spreadsheet software for quantitative business<br />

analysis.<br />

• Demonstrate math skills at the college level.<br />

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and<br />

the ability to effectively work in teams.<br />

• Understand the roles of marketing, management, finance,<br />

accounting, MIS, economics, law and ethics in the business<br />

environment.<br />

• Be familiar with the multi-cultural and global environment.<br />

• Utilize pre-business courses in upper-division classes.<br />

Program Requirements<br />

Students expecting to graduate in two years should have a strong<br />

interest in the world of business; they should have sufficient skills in<br />

mathematics and writing to enroll in MTH 111 College Algebra and WR<br />

121 English Composition.<br />
