Late in the summer of this year, I began my professional journey with Inova
when I joined the Inova Health System Foundation. However, my personal
connection to Inova began long before that time with the birth of my two sons
at Inova Alexandria Hospital, visits to the ER, and my own physical therapy for
an old sports injury.
As you will see in the 2011 Philanthropy Report, many grateful patients
generously supported Inova’s hospitals, programs, and the highly skilled
people who touched their lives. Each donor has a compelling story to share.
We have included a few of the most inspiring.
In 2011, more individuals, corporations, and foundations made contributions
