Construction Management Program Outcomes<br />

Construction Management program outcomes correspond to the knowledge, skills and behavior that<br />

are we expect our construction graduates to possess at the time of their graduation. These outcomes<br />

are established and periodically updated based on constituency input. The outcomes for construction<br />

management program that we expect our graduates to possess at graduation are:<br />

a. an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science to typical Construction<br />

Management tasks<br />

b. effective research and problem solving skills applied to typical Construction Management<br />

tasks<br />

c. an ability to plan, organize and control a construction project<br />

d. an ability to lead and/or function as a member of a team<br />

e. students will experience and educationally benefit from quality facilities and equipment,<br />

strong industry support, and comprehensive extra-curricular activities<br />

f. an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility<br />

g. an ability to communicate effectively<br />

h. the broad education necessary to understand the impact of construction in a global,<br />

economic, environmental, and societal context<br />

i. a recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in lifelong learning<br />

j. a knowledge of contemporary issues.<br />

These program outcomes are related to the construction management program educational<br />

objectives as presented in Table 4.9, Construction Management Educational Objectives linked to<br />

Construction Management Program Outcomes.<br />
