1. Introductions<br />

New Advisory Board members were introduced.<br />

2. Program Update<br />

a. Competition Teams Success!<br />

Fred discussed the upcoming ASC/AGC National Student Competition from April 4-7, 2006. This<br />

year we won two categories within our region, Commercial Build and Design Build, so we will be<br />

sending 12 students and 2 faculty to the National Student Competition in Dallas.<br />

b. CM Club President: Meghan Banville<br />

Meghan Banville, the CM Club President, spoke on club activities, including the speaker series, the<br />

RI Young Contractors Forum, involvement with the Massachusetts AGC, and community service<br />

initiative. She also mentioned a career workshop which is being planned for Monday, April 17, 2006,<br />

from 6-8 p.m. at the <strong>SECCM</strong> Building. She requested volunteers from the CM Advisory Board to<br />

assist in preparing students for interviews and to critique their resumes. Finally, Megan mentioned<br />

her new duties to both the <strong>SECCM</strong> and to the Office of Alumni Relations in developing an accurate<br />

and dependable database of <strong>SECCM</strong> alum;<br />

c. <strong>SECCM</strong> Student Senior Project Showcase<br />

Fred Gould announced the Design Project Showcase and Career Fair set to occur on Wednesday,<br />

April 4, and invited the Advisory Board to attend.<br />

d. Faculty Search Update<br />

An offer has been made to the number one CM faculty candidate. Arrangements have been made for<br />

one other interview and campus visit. We have two faculty positions to fill for the fall 2006 semester<br />

e. Capstone Presentations<br />

C M Capstone Presentations will be held on May 10, 2006 from 2-5 p.m. Board members are invited<br />

to attend and view these senior presentations. These capstone presentations serve as one of many<br />

assessment measures for our program. Fred agreed to provide a copy of the critique form that he uses<br />

to evaluate these presentations to the board.
