Chapter 3 Design of a new support for the batteries 3.1 Introduction Through this chapter, the design of a new support for the batteries will be studied. Firstly, the reasons that led to change the support created last year, will be exposed. Then, the entire development phase, from the initial idea to the manufacturing of the new support, will be discussed step by step. This phase was realized in accordance with the requirements of EPS and Thermal Control (THER) subsystems. 3.2 Problems encountered with the last year's design The design that was imagined last year [15], is presented in Figure 3.1.
