Onsite Option 1: iPad Scavenger Hunt.<br />

Location: Onsite (or nearby shopping district)<br />

Duration: 2 - 3 hours<br />

Min/Max Capacity: 10/200<br />

Using Ipads and a customized teambuilding app, teams set out to explore<br />

the bustling shopping/nightlife area near the hotel. Teams compete in<br />

mental and physical challenges along the way as they race against time to<br />

try and outscore and outlast their opponents.<br />

- 1:00PM Guests are divided into teams, given Ipads and ground rules.<br />

- 1:15PM Scavenger hunt begins<br />

- 2:45PM Scavenger hunt ends / winners announced<br />

Onsite Option 2: Golf Cart Parade.<br />

Location: Onsite.<br />

Duration: 2 – 2.5 hours<br />

Min/Max Capacity: Up to 120<br />

Line up the golf carts and get ready to go! This fun teambuilder<br />

allows participants to use their creativity to solve puzzles to earn<br />

points towards materials needed to customize golf carts. The<br />

challenge is based on a series of criteria such as accuracy and<br />

teamwork (including corporate messaging or conference<br />

objectives). Once time is up, judges and teams line the streets to<br />

take part in a parade around the <strong>Bonaventure</strong>’s sprawling property!<br />

<strong>Sample</strong> Itinerary:<br />

- 1:00PM Groups are briefed and head out to the outdoor event space where golf carts are waiting<br />

- 1:10PM Activity begins<br />

- 2:45PM Decorating time is up / judging & parade begins<br />

- 3:30PM Parade completed / winners announced<br />

*Surprise food trucks at the end are a great bonus!


Offsite Option 1: Everglades Restoration Project.<br />

Location: Markham Park<br />

Distance from the Hotel: 5 minutes<br />

Duration: 3 – 4.5 hours<br />

Min/Max: Up to 150 guests<br />

Markham Park is an integral part of the greater Everglades System. This<br />

county park was once inundated with invasive, exotic plants and trees<br />

whose seeds would blow deep into the adjoining Everglades to infest<br />

greater amounts of land. The park staff has worked diligently to remove<br />

many of the exotics but there is still a lot of work to do. Your guests can<br />

help make a BIG difference!<br />

<strong>Sample</strong> Itinerary:<br />

- 12:45PM Guests board buses and depart hotel for park<br />

- 1:00PM Guests arrive park and split into groups / activity begins<br />

- 3:00PM Activity ends, group photo, reflection, thank you comments and dedication from park personnel<br />

- 3:30PM Depart for Airboat tour<br />

- 3:45PM Guests arrive Sawgrass Recreational Park for private airboat tour<br />

- 5:00PM Guests return from airboat tour / board buses and depart for hotel<br />

- 5:30PM Guests arrive back at hotel / conclusion of tour<br />

*as an alternative, at the conclusion of the activity, food trucks and celebratory reception can take place at park.<br />

Onsite or Offsite Option 2: Strive to Survive.<br />

Location: On-property or Markham Park<br />

Distance from hotel: Onsite or Approx. 5 minutes<br />

Duration: Approximately 3 hours<br />

Min/Max Capacity: Up to 120<br />

Guests strive to survive in a series of creative, physical and mental challenges<br />

occurring in and around either the hotel or local state park. In this high stakes<br />

game similar to “survival of the fittest”, teams will compete to earn points<br />

towards filling their backpack with vital tools such as water canteens, matches<br />

and canned food.<br />

<strong>Sample</strong> Itinerary:<br />

- 1:00PM Guests get debriefed, divide into teams and get maps and backpacks<br />

- 1:15PM Activity begins<br />

- 3:00PM Activity ends / survivors announced<br />

- 3:15PM Conclusion of event<br />

<strong>Sample</strong> Physical / Educational Challenges.<br />

Hiking/biking the pre-mapped trails, keeping an eye open for ribbons, which are the same color as their<br />

bandana, to collect along the way. Teams get points based on how many ribbons they collect.<br />

Completing a circuit around buoys on canoes. Team members all kick off at the same time and must decide<br />

who goes through which part of the circuit first. Will they be able to offer the encouragement needed for the<br />

slower paddlers to complete the course Time doesn’t stop until all paddlers have completed the circuit!<br />

Target Practice – Archery and obstacles can be set up onsite at the park to test your ability to work calmly<br />

under pressure.<br />

Teammates take turns hopping on and off two team paddleboards to see how quickly they can finish a relay.<br />

One teammate paddles out to a buoy. When they get there, they wait for the next teammate to paddle out to<br />

them to give them a high-five before they can head back to shore.<br />

Assisting with one of the nature preserve’s educational eco-programs such as a sea grass clean-up activity.<br />

<strong>Sample</strong> Creative Challenges.<br />

How many company-related words can a team make by organizing, Scrabble-style, lettered Ping Pong balls<br />

Seeing how many blocks they can pull from a wooden tower before it topples.<br />

Solving puzzles handed to them after supplying their survival leader with a password. (Questions can be<br />

conference message-related or eco/area specific). Once the right answer is supplied, teams are given the next<br />

clue in their journey.<br />

Offsite Option 3: Dragon Boat Racing.<br />

Location: Local State Park<br />

Distance from the Hotel: *depends on time of year and park, between 5 and 20<br />

minutes<br />

Duration: 3 - 4 hours<br />

Min/Max Capacity: Up to 120<br />

Dragon Boat Racing is great fun for anyone, young or old. Each boat will have team<br />

members that have to work together to move through the water. Along the way,<br />

guests will observe mangroves, crabs and wading birds.<br />

Group will utilize mini-dragon boats and a standard dragon boat for team-building<br />

and education on the sport. With each boat, there will be a steersperson/trainer to<br />

teach and assist participants. All paddles, Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) and drums will be provided. All<br />

participants will be required to wear PFDs at all times when on the water or dock.<br />

The participants will be split into three (3) or more groups. Each group will receive on-land training, team-building and<br />

coordination instructions. Each group will also paddle the boats, including in informal races.<br />
