Sound good The shop was set up two years ago by Bev Beak, a former HR manager, who believes women buy much more than they actually need and thus have a lot of items they do not require. By bringing in the items you no longer use or need you can make some money and perhaps reinvest it on previously loved items from the shop rather than paying full price for expensive brands. Bev said: “The shop is quite like an Aladdin’s Cave – it is filled with plenty of beautiful things, from hats and fascinators, to shoes, bags and clothes. I think it is a fantastic way to recycle clothes, to pass on the ones that you no longer need and purchase items from the shop which are a fraction of the price they’d be if they were new. The items in the shop are in good condition and no more than three-years-old.” The shop is happy to receive items of clothing, shoes or bags, a selling price will be agreed with you of which 50 per cent will be given to you when the item is sold. The item will stay in the shop for six weeks and if after this time it remains unsold it will be returned to you or passed onto a charity.
