The media is filled with Gloom and Doom of the economy and the financial crisis. This is the time<br />

amongst any time that those around you needs someone steady and strong, full of faith and hope to<br />

guide them thru a “dark night”. I am reminded of the story of an admiral commandeering his aircraft<br />

carrier across the sea. He suddenly saw a beam of light in the distance. He started sending out a<br />

signal towards where the light is. “I am coming thru, please make way.” The reply came back, “No,<br />

you MUST make way.” He then answered, “I am Admiral Smith. You make way.” The answer came<br />

back: “I am First Sailor Lee, you MUST make way.” Flustered with anger, Admiral Smith sent his next<br />

signal, “I am an Aircraft Carrier, you make way.” The reply came back, “I am a LIGHTHOUSE, you better<br />

make way.” During these time of uncertainty, we are called to be lighthouse to those around us. A<br />

lighthouse perform two functions: 1) It shines light on area around us so that the Direction is clear. 2)<br />

It is immoveable. You must be both, giving joy and bringing hope to all you come into contact with and<br />

never faltering in your faith of your future in <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> , as you move forward in your <strong>Mary</strong> <strong>Kay</strong> Career.<br />

As you work towards our 10th Anniversary, may you be the light unto many. May you be blessed<br />
