Only by looking across the roofs of a city can we see it as a whole. But not
everybody is blessed with his own personal vantage point. Luckily, Berlin
has a large number of public roof terraces from which one can enjoy the
panorama. Here are some of our favourites.
Above Politics
Fancy looking down on the politicians for a
change? In Berlin you can. The Reichstag is
the only parliament building in the world that
boasts a restaurant open to the public. Over
a meal at Käfer, the fine food specialist, the
guest sits in an architecturally modern roof

at the beginning of June 2007, the crowds
are still pouring onto the rooftop of the
popular Week-End Club. No wonder, given
its unparalleled view of Berlin by night. The
trio of architects responsible, »Robertneun«
has created a really special piece of lifestyle.
Look out for the absolute highlight – a
sunken bar.

Whoever christened Berlin’s new luxury

on the roof terrace, looking at all of the
historical neighbouring buildings and been

garden, one can see Berlin’s historic highlights:
