All of our artists are perfect for a variety of events such as festivals, benefit or charity shows, Holiday 

events, corporate/private parties, casinos, fairs, or full indoor or outdoor concerts. We know that quality 

entertainment is very important to you, and Celebrity Direct promises to work closely with you in making 

that happen. No better time than now to get those plans into action! 

What sets us apart from other entertainment agencies or buyers is that we provide in-house entertainment 

to fit virtually any taste, schedule or budget. By in-house we mean we work directly with these 

performers on a regular basis, and not only that, but we are the Management Company for many of 

them. What this means is quickly answered questions, personal contact with the artist, and lower prices 

for you as we won’t be paying outrageous multiple commissions to agents or brokers. We are definitely 

Celebrity Direct ! Having one or more of them at your event is only a phone call away. We will also 

work hand-in-hand with you through every step of the event planning process... on whatever level you 

need us, we’ll be there. Our motto is “adding a personal touch to the entertainment industry” -- and 

those words are very true to our hearts. 

Whether your event has a budget of only a couple of hundred dollars, or hundreds of thousands 

of dollars, from 30 guests to 30,000 in attendance, we have first-class entertainment to fit your 

needs! 

On the following pages, we have included our current artist roster. Those featured with biography and 

photo are those that we work closest with and recommend, with confidence, for virtually any event. Also 

note that most of these acts all fall in the price range of $1000 to $15000 - and there are even some 

contained within that are less than $1000 - meaning these artists are affordable for your event. Please 

note the many new acts we have, many of which are only available through Celebrity Direct! 

Furthermore, our artists cover all genres: the hit-makers of yesteryear, country, gospel, jazz, rap, and 

virtually all other types... names that for over half a century have been heard on radios and in concert 

halls around the world. In addition to those ‘in-house’ artists featured on our website and in this artist

Next to the dictionary entry for ‘legend’ may be a photo 

of Connie Francis. Ms. Francis‘ career has spanned well over 

50 years and it’s anticipated 2011 may be her best yet! In 

addition to being the world’s best selling female artist of 

all-time, Connie is also an accomplished actress and author 

(her 1984 autobiography Who’s Sorry Now made it 

on the New York Times Best Seller List). Her hit song list 

may also make her the most diversified performer in the 

history of music - with charting songs in multiple languages, 

in over 20 countries, and virtually all genres of music including 

pop, rock n’ roll, adult contemporary and even country 

music. 

In recent years, her live performance reviews have been 

stellar, and she is always commended by fans and entertainment 

buyers from around the world on her friendliness, generosity, professionalism 

and talent. Her current show, with her full 21 piece orchestra and moving video 

presentation, is described as a ‘historical production’ -- not just a concert! Her 

fans have flocked from around the world to see her recently perform at sold-out gala events including 

the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, “Eric Floyd’s Grand Divas of Stage” at the Las Vegas Hilton with

90s, Connie headline at Carnegie Hall and the London Palladium. 

Connie has recorded over 3000 songs in 16 different languages with over 100 of those songs reaching the 

charts in the United States. It may be impossible to know the exact number that have charted throughout worldwide 

markets! She’s appeared on countless television specials, performing her hit songs, including at least 20 times on 

American Bandstand / Dick Clark Show and at least 25 times on Ed Sullivan, 

possibly setting appearance records for both programs. 

Her meteoric rise to fame began when she was born in 1937 in New 

Jersey. At a very young age, Ms. Francis was performing in showcases and 

talent contests. By the age of 17, in the mid-1950s, Connie was recording professionally 

and her ‘career’ was fully underway. With guidance from her father, 

George, Connie recorded the old standard “Who’s Sorry Now” which was 

released in late 1957. Dick Clark played this title over and over in early 1958, 

and the rest is history. It quickly jumped to #1 and almost immediately sold 1 

million copies! She would go on to record the first female rock ‘n’ roll hit in 

“Stupid Cupid,” and hit songs such as “Lipstick on Your Collar,” “Frankie” and 

others that would forever label her as the young princess of rock and roll. 

As early as 1958, Connie was named by both Cashbox and Billboard 

Magazine the #1 Female Vocalist. For six consecutive years she 

held this title by all the trade magazines... a record that has yet to be surpassed. 

By 1959, Connie had already recorded 5 Gold Records. 

In 1960, Connie starred in, and sang the title song in the film classic 

“Where The Boys Are.” This song went to #1 in 15 countries simultaneously! 

Connie’s personal life and career, which have each had so many 

glorious times, has also had it’s darker moments throughout the years. Today, 

Connie is back and better than ever! While she’s been heralded as an ambassador of 

good-will worldwide and one of the biggest entertainment stars in history -- this is a legacy that is continuing to 

be built. She has recently teamed with Rob Fusari (creator and award winning producer of Lady Gaga, among many 

other high profile artists) to create a new club version of the song “Where The Boys Are.” She’s also penned her 

second biography which, it’s anticipated, will reach the best seller list much like her first autobiography in the 1980s.

THE TRUTH IN MUSIC LAW 

What exactly is it, and what does it mean 

What the Truth In Music Advertising Act is: 

* The law is designed to protect original recording and performing artists 

* The law is designed to prevent unauthorized groups from claiming to be the original recording and 

performing artists. 

* The law is designed to keep the public from being deceived by untruthful advertising. 

What the Truth in Music Advertising Act is not: 

* It does not say an original member must be in the group 

* It does not say no one else may be authorized to perform as that group. 

* It dies not say that others may not legally perform with a proper billing. 

Additional information on this law: 

* Celebrity Direct Entertainment firmly believes this law should be adhered to. 

* Celebrity Direct does not book any groups that are performing illegally! 

* This law is enacted in over half the United States. 

* The act says that the performer should be accurately advertised, disclosing who is actually 

performing. If it is a tribute, this should be noted. 

* “Authorized” or allowable, is fairly vague. It generally means the act should contain an original 

member or a legitimate recording member of the actual group.... or the act carries a trade 

mark for the name they are using. 

* Keep in mind that, for example, while Scott Johnson may not have been an original member of The 

Trinkets... a billing title of Scott Johnson & His Trinkets may in fact be allowable, as they are 

not claiming to be the original Trinkets group. (this is a made-up example, of course) 

* Celebrity Direct Entertainment finds it disgraceful that some of the largest proponents of this law are 

individuals and companies that book groups that carry no trademark, have no original 

members in the group, and actually do deceive the public! 

* Not all of our groups contain original members, but we will *not* lie about it, and we proudly disclose 

who is in our groups because *all* of our groups *do* have members with strong historical 

ties to the original groups, and their legacy. And, of course... all billing of our groups is very 

specific and truthful. All of our group are performing legally with their designated names. 

Section 3. Production 

It shall be unlawful for any person to advertise or conduct a live musical performance or production in this Commonwealth 

through the use of a false, deceptive or misleading affiliation, connection or association between a performing group and a 

recording group. This section does not apply if any of the following apply: 

(1) The performing group is the authorized registrant and owner of a Federal service mark for that group registered in the United States Patent and 

Trademark Office. 

(2) At least one member of the performing group was a member of the recording group and has a legal right by virtue of use or operation under the group 

name without having abandoned the name or affiliation with the group. 

(3) The live musical performance or production is identified in all advertising and promotion as a salute or tribute. 

(4) The advertising does not relate to a live musical performance or production taking place in this Commonwealth. 

(5) The performance or production is expressly authorized by the recording group. 

Section 4. Restraining prohibited acts. 

(a) Injunction.--Whenever the Attorney General or a district attorney has reason to believe that any person is advertising or 

conducting or is about to advertise or conduct a live musical performance or production in violation of section 3 and that 

proceedings would be in the public interest, the Attorney General or district attorney may bring an action in the name of 

the Commonwealth against the person to restrain by temporary or permanent injunction that practice. 

(b) Payment of costs and restitution.--Whenever any court issues a permanent injunction to restrain and prevent violations of this act as authorized in 

subsection (a), the court may in its discretion direct that the defendant restore to any person 

in interest any moneys or property, real or personal, which may have been acquired by means of any violation of this act, under 

terms and conditions to be established by the court. 

Section 5. Penalty. 

A person who violates section 3 is liable to the Commonwealth for a civil penalty of not less than $5,000 nor more than $15,000 per violation, which civil 

penalty shall be in addition to any other relief which may be granted under section 4. Each performance or production declared unlawful by section 3 shall 

constitute a separate violation.

A NOTE TO BUYERS 

Please note that as a general requirement, in addition to the base fee we charge for each artist, ground/air transportation, 

meals, sound & lights, and lodging are also usually required. 

Additionally, the artists’ musical equipment such as keyboards, floor monitors, microphones, amps, etc., are also required. 

This equipment can generally be rented or borrowed fairly inexpensively, if you don’t already have it ‘in house.’ 

For some of our groups, a local band or particular musicians may also be necessary... and in fact will save you money 

by providing them. 

We take pride in making it easy for experienced OR first-time buyers to use our artists and will walk you through each 

step of the way. After confirming availability of an artist, we will issue a contract complete with full technical and staging 

requirements, etc. We leave nothing in question and will personally review each detail with you. 

Celebrity Direct Entertainment and each of our artists will eagerly present several different buying options to you and will 

help you choose which might be the best fit for your budget, venue, audience and tastes. We do offer packages which

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

Below, we outline just some of the questions we routinely get each day via e-mail, phone, postal mail and fax. If there is a 

question you have that isn’t presented here, please contact us and we’ll do our best to answer it for you. 

Q: What do your music artists charge for their performances 

A: The answer to this question relies on several factors. Generally, however, CDE has quality national entertainment that is available for less 

than $15,000, most of which are in the $4000 - $8000 range, with many being less. Factors such as routing and scheduling opportunities, 

type of venue and event, multiple dates, and audience size are just some of the variables that CDE and our artists take into consideration 

when giving you a quote for a performance. Often times, different ‘configurations’ of a particular group or act can be customized as well to fit 

the buyer’s budget - another reason, in some cases, the fee range given has such a variance. This fee range is only to give you, the buyer, 

a very general idea of the possible base fees. CDE does offer affordable packages and quotes with transportation charges included, and can 

make those necessary arrangements ourselves. Also, please note that we do have entertainment which is available for less than the figures 

given.... with national-quality entertainment available in the $500 - $1000 range depending on location! 

Q: Are interviews for publicity available with your artists prior to the show 

A: Interviews with radio / TV stations, newspaper, and other members of the media are welcomed. We ask that all interview requests be 

mailed or faxed to our national office on a company letterhead, and we will coordinate the interview. Because of travel and time constraints, 

we ask that all interviews be arranged and approved at least two weeks in advance. 

Q: What type of show should I bring in for my event 

A: This question varies greatly depending on factors such as type of event, budget allocated for the event, target audience, etc. Fortunately, 

Celebrity Direct Entertainment has acts perfect for virtually any event ranging from private parties to large corporate events to full scale 

productions. We work with the artists showcased on our roster page because we believe in the quality of work that they do, and know that no 

matter the audience or budget they will make the show a time to remember! 

Q: Will the musician, band, actor or athlete that we have booked be willing to sign autographs for the event sponsors, etc. 

A: Absolutely! We book only acts that are friendly and easy to work with. Included in most of their contracts is a clause stating that they must 

sign some complimentary autographs for event sponsors. The entertainers we work with realize they wouldn’t be in the industry if it wasn’t for 

the fans and sponsoring buyers. Most of our acts also prefer to sign autographs and sell merchandise after performances. We ask you to be 

specific regarding meet-n-greets, etc. when we are contracting the event so that everyone is clear to what is expected of them.

The event was spectacular! The weather was perfect, the food was outstanding, the nine open bars (including the five specialty 

bars) were awesome...and the Surf City All Stars rocked the house! 

We had over 1,500 patrons, two magazines, two newspapers, three TV stations and two radio stations attend. The trees on the 

grounds were covered in white lights (loaned by the City of Greenville), we had hundreds of stars hanging from trees, décor bounding 

beach balls everywhere, tiki Gods with flaming torches, bubble machines, etc.,etc, etc. 

You can speak with the band, but I am sure they had a total blast. After they performed, they freshened-up, changed clothes, (they 

were free to hang out in the rec room downstairs which is where they chilled before they performed) but instead, they went out, walked 

around the grounds to visit all of the fifteen restaurants’ tents, talk to people, etc. and had the best time. 

Sunday the band called from the airport just before they flew out and David told me the band wanted me to know that they all agreed 

it was “the smoothest run, most visually exciting, most hospitable event they had ever played in their careers.” WOW...they didn’t have 

to call us back at all...what a wonderful thing to say and do. They said they’d play it again next year if we wanted them. :) We had 

Williamson-Evens here filming the event and we will send you a copy for your files. It was OUTSTANDING! We are SO pleased...and 

now...the only thing I need is one week at a spa to recoup from the 10 months of planning. :)
