MEAL PLAN h Dinner on Day 1, all meals and alcoholic<br />

DAY 5 h Enjoy an early morning game drive and breakfast<br />
before transferring to the airstrip for your onward flight to<br />
Savute Elephant Camp where you will spend the next two<br />
nights. Nestled beside the Savute Channel, flowing again<br />
after 30 years, it is known for its herds of elephants and is<br />
the ideal location for watching these gentle giants as well<br />
as other large animals. Whilst here, the bushmen paintings<br />
and baobab tree experience is one not to be missed.<br />
Among the rocks on the stony hills you’ll see images over<br />
1,500 years old of giraffe, elephant, sable and antelope.<br />
Continue on to the baobab grove, a cluster of 13 giant<br />
trees that rival the bushmen’s paintings in age and enjoy<br />
a drink as the sun sets. You can also spot wildlife from the<br />
spectacular observation deck just ten metres from the<br />
waterhole, take a dip in the swimming pool, and relax on<br />
the large private deck with easy chairs and hammock –<br />
ideal for admiring the vast rolling plains and fiery sunsets.<br />
DAY 7 h Experience your final game drive and breakfast<br />
before you board your light aircraft to Maun and then<br />
fly onwards to Cape Town, South Africa, where you will<br />
transfer to the Mount Nelson hotel (p134). Enjoy the rest<br />
of the day at leisure at this classic and historic five star<br />
property enjoying its vast grounds, traditional afternoon<br />
tea and fruity cocktails in the popular Planet Bar.<br />
DAY 8 h Spend the next two days at leisure in leafy<br />
tranquillity surrounded by the contemporary buzz of Cape<br />
Town and perhaps embark on an excursion or two. You<br />
could spend a day in the winelands, the Cape Peninsula, or<br />
enjoy a half day tour of Cape Town or take the cable car up<br />
to the top of the magnificent Table Mountain.<br />
DAY 10 h After breakfast transfer to the airport for your<br />
onward journey. Alternatively you could choose to spend<br />
Day 7-10 in Johannesburg at the Westcliff hotel. Full details<br />

upstream from the mighty Victoria Falls.<br />
DAY 8 h Perhaps enjoy an excursion to glimpse the inspiring<br />
Victoria Falls, a riverboat trip or try your hand at some fly<br />
fishing on the mighty Zambezi. Alternatively you could<br />
relax around the pool at the hotel, sip on cocktails and<br />
enjoy a time out in the sauna.<br />
DAY 9 h Today transfer to Livingstone for your flight to Cape<br />
