and evening game drives guided by professional rangers, and bush walks, boat trips
and visits to the Born Free Foundation Rescue Centre and Addo National Elephant
Park can also be arranged. Safari Lodge has a restaurant and bar, communal
and private pools and an in-house spa therapist, and Leeuwenbosch features a
restaurant, a cellar bar and swimming pool. Accommodation h Leeuwenbosch is
a colonial manor house dating back to 1908 and sits in well-kept gardens. It has
five spacious rooms and suites and is ideal for families. Safari Lodge has 11 luxury
air-conditioned suites in an intimate African tribal-style thatched lodge in a tranquil
bush setting. Each room features a separate lounge area, indulgent double bath,
double outdoor shower and private plunge pool, with views over a small watering
hole attracting monkeys, antelope and zebra. NB h Children under 9 years not
accepted in the Safari Lodge. Amakhala Game Reserve is also available as part of the
Fair Trade Garden Route Self-Drive (p120-121).
