The Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (of the Technical University of Lisbon) is the<br />
most ancient Portuguese institution of Psychomotor Therapy (bachelor and master<br />
level). The curriculum is based on a holistic view of the person, integrating the mutual<br />
influence of motor, cognitive and social-emotional competencies expressed by action<br />
and body expression <strong>for</strong> a real participation of the person in the psychosocial context.<br />
The bachelor curriculum is designed to give students competencies to work<br />
extensively in preventive, pedagogical and therapeutic domains, in the different ages<br />
of life. There<strong>for</strong>e, the main goal of FMH is human development through movement,<br />
by means of the study of the body and its manifestations in the interaction between<br />
biological processes and sociocultural values.
