“Zack Stephens has got a chance to
be a defensive end,” Pratt said. “He
and Wheeler are tough, fairly strong
and move pretty well.
“Jalen Doucet and Jaylan Myles
will likely be the linebackers. Doucet
has a great work ethic, learns pretty
quick and is pretty aggressive. You
like to see that in a linebacker.”
Pratt said Richard is a threat at
cornerback as well.
“We have several guys that can run
in the secondary,” Pratt said.
“(Richard) has speed and can cover
one-on-one. Pursuit is going to be the
strength of the defense.”
Pratt said he feels optimistic
despite the adversity stacked up
because of the team’s low numbers.
He said the Warriors’ work ethic is
most appealing, especially with their
tough schedule ahead.
“We have made a ton of progress
since spring and learned how to do
things full speed,” Pratt said. “Our
only goal is to win — the first goal is
to win district, which is going to be
tough with so many good teams.”
