In addition to that, the „Guidebook forthe development and implementation of integrated<br />

cultural heritage management plans”- distributed by the European Association<br />

of Historic Towns and Regions EAHTR and other networks - will communicate<br />

the project’s results to a wide range of historic cities in Europe and beyond.<br />

Capitalising on the experiences of the partner cities’ ULSG and developed with the<br />

input of EAHTR, this comprehensible practical guide will serve as a basis for the future<br />

sustainable and integrated management of historic urban landscapes.<br />

<strong>The</strong> HerO project, its main objectives, its work program and structure as well as its<br />

progress and results and its main outputs will be presented in the communication<br />

materials, on the HerO project website as well as in the HerO newsletter in order<br />

to reach a maximum of interested experts and historic towns, including those who<br />

already showed great interest in the HerO topic by applying to become partner to<br />

the network and who regrettablycouldn’t have been considered.That way, access<br />

to the experience gained in the network will be given to a wide professional audience.<br />

6.2 Lead expert and other thematic experts to be involved<br />

LEAD EXPERT (117 days)<br />

Tasks<br />

1. ULSGs and LAPs: Support of project partners–20 days<br />

Support of the project partners implementing their ULSGs and elaborating the<br />

LAPs, providing thematic and methodological expertise<br />

2. 1 Good-practice compilation–10 days<br />

Overview about good-practice examples of the partners concerning the HerO<br />

topic to support the exchange within the network.<br />

3. Guideline elaboration and support of development of policy recommendations–12<br />

days<br />

Elaboration of guidelines for the successful development and implementation of<br />

integrated cultural heritage management plans<br />

Support of strategy paper/ policy recommendations to include the preservation<br />

and development of historic urban landscapes in the next EU funding program<br />

period<br />

4. Support of 7 project meetings–70 days<br />

Preparation: Support by the elaboration of the meeting’s conception and<br />

agenda; preparation of workshops and papers<br />

Implementation: Participation in the meetings, giving input and moderating<br />

workshops<br />

Wrap-up: Documentation of the results (<strong>The</strong>matic Reports)<br />
