General Rules for In Hand Classes:<br />

• Eligible are all Welsh Ponies, Cobs und Welsh Part-Breds (also German Riding Ponies<br />

with min. of 12,5 % welsh blood;) that are registered in an International recognised<br />

Stud Book<br />

• 3 year and older Stallions must have a minimum of a veterinary breeding certificate<br />

• Ponies, bred by the judge, ( Dyfrdwy-Prefix), or at any time in his ownership, are not<br />

eligible<br />

• 3 year old mares with foal at foot are not permitted<br />

• Foals are to be presented led at all times (not shown free) and are allowed to be<br />

accompanied by their mother; also the other way round they are permitted to<br />

accompany their mother in the mares class but also only led.<br />

• Junior Handlers will be divided into 2 classes<br />

- 1. Class:<br />

Mares and geldings from the Sections A, B C und Part-Bred, not exceeding 137<br />

cm ; Handler 12 years and under<br />

- 2. Class:<br />

Welsh Ponies, Cobs und Part-Breds, Handler 13 to 16 years old<br />

• The winner and 2nd placed in the foal classes are eligible for the Sections Foal<br />

Championship<br />

• The Section foal Ch. and Res. are eligible for the Overall Foal Championship.<br />

• The winner and 2nd placed of the 1 -, 2- und 3 year Classes are eligible for the Junior<br />

Section Championship<br />

• The winner and 2nd placed in the Adult classes are eligible for the Adult Section<br />

Championship<br />

• The Junior Section Champion and Res. Champion also the Adult Section Champion<br />

and Res. Champion are eligible for the Overall Section Championship<br />

• Overall Section Champions and Res. Champions compete for the WPCSG –<br />

Deutschland Cup<br />

• The winner of the Deutschland Cup will also be awarded with the Overseas Medal of<br />

the Welsh Pony and Cob Society, Wales<br />

• Ponies und Cobs the Sections A, B, C und D are to be show as naturally as possible,<br />

plaiting of manes and tails is not allowed<br />

• The practise of double handling in the ring with an extra whip handler of Ponies or<br />

Cobs is not allowed ; The Ring steward will be of assistance if help is necessary<br />

• Ponies und Cobs in German ownership are not allowed to have the long „feeling<br />

“hair from muzzle and around eyes removed<br />

• Every Pony and Cob must have an up to date third party insurance.<br />

General Rules Ridden:<br />

• Eligible for the Lead Rein Class are 4 year and older Welsh ponies from the Sections A,


B, and Part-Bred not to exceed 137cm ; the rider is to be 8 years and younger and<br />

not to start in any other ridden class. The leader is to be 16 years or older<br />

Stallions and mares with foals at foot in this year are not allowed<br />

• Eligible for the First Ridden Class are 4 year old and older Welsh Ponies from the<br />

Sections A, B, C and Part-bred, not to exceed 137 cm ; the rider 12 years and<br />

younger and not start in any other ridden class<br />

Stallions and mares with foals at foot in this year are not allowed<br />

• Eligible for the Junior Saddle Class are 4 year and older Welsh from the Sections A,<br />

B, C, D and Part-Bred ; Rider 16 years and younger.<br />

• Eligible for the Senior Saddle Class are 4 year and older Welsh from the Sections A,<br />

B, C, D and Part-Bred; Rider 17 years and older<br />

Special rules for Ridden Classes:<br />

• All Classes: Hard hats with a minimum of 3 point fastening must be<br />

Worn<br />

• Leg protection / bandages etc, side reins, martingales of all types are<br />

not allowed<br />

• Lead Rein: Spurs, whips and lead chains are not allowed. The lead rein is to be<br />

attached to the noseband<br />

• First Ridden: Spurs are not allowed. Whips no longer than 65cm in total lengh.<br />

• The form can be down loaded from our web site or can be obtained from our office in<br />

Hude ( please then enclose a stamped addressed envelope)<br />

• For 3 year and older Stallions please enclose a copy of the stallion licence or<br />

veterinary check<br />

Entry fee:<br />

• For members and non members the first Pony/Cob In Hand 20,- Euro, every other 15<br />

Euro; Foals 10 Euro<br />

• For members and non members each ridden Class and Junior Handler 8,- Euro<br />

Boxes:


• There are a limited number of stables available at the show ground. Hard food and<br />

hay must be brought. Please reserve the number required and day of arrival and<br />

departure with the entry. There is also the possibility on the parking area to build<br />

paddocks ( ca 5 x 5 ). Please bring your own material. Stallions are not allowed in<br />

paddocks<br />

• Cost of box: For the first night/day 15,- euro for every other 10,-. Straw is included<br />

• There is the possibility to camp on the parking area. Disturbance of the local<br />

inhabitants is to be avoided. Toilets are available.<br />
