Joseph Taylor Scholarship<br />

CBM UK is proud to offer the Joseph Taylor Scholarship to<br />

Christian medical students of ophthalmology attending UK<br />

centres of learning.<br />

There are up to four scholarships of £500 available each<br />

year for successful applicants who should be in their clinical<br />

years. Their elective should be in an African church and/or<br />

mission hospital for a period of at least six weeks and<br />

should include some time studying eye diseases.<br />

Applications are invited from Medical Students who are to<br />

undertake an <strong>Elective</strong> Study. Applicants should have lived,<br />

or been educated, in the Wyre Forest area.<br />

Successful applicants may be asked to give a short talk at<br />

one of their regular meetings<br />

LEPRA provides funds for UK-based medical students<br />

wishing to undertake a leprosy assignment overseas.<br />

Those applying for the Medical Missionary Association<br />

HealthServe grants should be from medical, nursing and<br />

therapy schools in England and Wales. Where possible they<br />

should be going to a Christian mission type hospital<br />

(protestant) in a developing country situation and be<br />

committed Christians.<br />

Small grants of £50-£200 are awarded to female medical<br />
