On motors with integral fans, cooling is determined by the<br />

shaft speed, as the integral fan is connected to the motor<br />

shaft. When used in conjunction with the 8200 motec<br />

frequency inverter, the motors can travel through a variable<br />

speed or frequency range. If the output frequency of the<br />

8200 motec is low, the air flow of the integral fan is not<br />

sufficient to dissipate the heat loss occurring in the motor<br />

at the rated torque (M N ). Therefore, the torque (M) that can<br />

be drawn from the motor should be reduced to less than<br />

20 Hz. The following dependence applies to the various<br />

motor frame sizes:<br />
