Start-up efficiency: Helical worm gearboxes
The start-up efficiency A of a helical worm gearbox is
lower than its operative efficiency at rated speed.
This means that the start-up efficiency A should be
monitored constantly during start-up under load.
The start-up efficiency is determined by the oil temperature
and the degree to which the tooth faces have been run in.
The values given in the tables are theoretical values and
are valid with a tolerance of ± 10 %.
