Rated point and adjustment ranges<br />

The electronic variable speed geared motors consisting of<br />

a geared motor and a motec frequency inverter are<br />

designed for a rated point of 50 Hz and an adjustment<br />

range of 1:6, and are collated in the selection tables.<br />

Rated point (n 2 , M 2 ) at 50 Hz<br />

Main features:<br />

High starting torque and high maximum torque because<br />

of the overcurrent characteristic of the frequency inverter<br />

Operation in the armature adjustment range<br />

Adjustment range (T amb =20°C):<br />

– ≤3.5 without separate fan<br />

– > 3.5 ... 10 with separate fan<br />

Adjustment range (n 2min , n 2max , M 2min , M 2max ) of 1:6<br />

Main features:<br />

Adjustment range of 1:6 without separate fan<br />

Sufficient maximum torque over the entire adjustment<br />

range despite field weakening operation<br />

High constant torque between 15 Hz and 50 Hz<br />

Parameter setting of the frequency inverter:<br />

– V/f cut-off frequency = 50 Hz (C0015 = -50-)<br />

– Adjustment to the adjustment range 1:6:<br />

(C0010 = 14.5 Hz; C0011 = 87 Hz)<br />

– Additional parameters are described in the operating<br />

instructions for the frequency inverter.<br />

Technical information<br />

The maximum torque M max is limited in time by the frequency<br />

inverter (1.8 x M r for 60 sec).<br />

At field frequencies > = 15 Hz and under normal operating<br />

conditions, the motor can be operated without a separate<br />

fan.<br />

At field frequencies < = 20 Hz, the thermal conditions in<br />

the motor need to be taken into account.<br />

At field frequencies < = 1 Hz, the torque behaviour is governed<br />

by the slip of the motor. The slip compensation of<br />

the motec can be used to influence this behaviour.<br />
