Hospital Services<br />

731. Deputy Gerry Adams asked <strong>the</strong> Minister for Health if he will provide details <strong>of</strong> each<br />

outpatient department clinic which takes place in <strong>the</strong> Louth County Hospital, Dundalk and<br />

also in Our Lady <strong>of</strong> Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda; and in relation to each clinic if he will provide<br />

details on <strong>the</strong> waiting time a patient will experience before receiving <strong>the</strong>ir first appointment;<br />

and if he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [8417/12]<br />

Minister for Health (Deputy James Reilly): As <strong>the</strong>se are service matters, <strong>the</strong>y have been<br />

referred to <strong>the</strong> HSE for direct reply.<br />

Health Service Staff<br />

732. Deputy Gerry Adams asked <strong>the</strong> Minister for Health when <strong>the</strong> national review <strong>of</strong> public<br />

health nursing will be published; his plans to appoint public health nurses in order to backfill<br />

PHN vacancies in County Louth; and if he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [8418/12]<br />

Minister <strong>of</strong> State at <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Health (Deputy Róisín Shortall): As this is a service<br />

matter it has been referred to <strong>the</strong> Health Service Executive for direct reply to <strong>the</strong> Deputy.<br />

Community Care<br />

733. Deputy Seán Kyne asked <strong>the</strong> Minister for Health if he supports plans to redesignate <strong>the</strong><br />

unoccupied beds at St. Francis Community Nursing Home in Galway city to step down beds<br />

which would relieve pressure on University Hospital Galway by enabling <strong>the</strong> transfer <strong>of</strong><br />

patients from its facilities to ano<strong>the</strong>r local facility equipped to provide residential care.<br />

Departmental Staff<br />

734. Deputy Sean Fleming asked <strong>the</strong> Minister for Health if he will outline on a yearly basis<br />

from 2008 to 2015 in respect <strong>of</strong> staff leaving <strong>the</strong> public service in his Department; <strong>the</strong> cost <strong>of</strong><br />

lump sums; <strong>the</strong> cost <strong>of</strong> severance payments; <strong>the</strong> cost <strong>of</strong> pensions <strong>of</strong> those leaving <strong>the</strong> service<br />

through retirement or o<strong>the</strong>r means; <strong>the</strong> loss <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> pension levy from employees who have left;<br />

<strong>the</strong> loss <strong>of</strong> superannuation payments from retired or departed employees, in tabular form; and<br />

if he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [8438/12]<br />

Minister for Health (Deputy James Reilly): The information sought by <strong>the</strong> Deputy on staff<br />

retired from my Department is not readily available. It is being collated and will be forwarded<br />

to <strong>the</strong> Deputy as soon as possible.<br />

The information in respect <strong>of</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r Agencies is being collated by my Department and will<br />

be forwarded to <strong>the</strong> Deputy as soon as it is available. With regard to <strong>the</strong> Health Service<br />

Executive, <strong>the</strong>y have been asked to collate <strong>the</strong> data sought as soon as possible and it will be<br />

provided directly to <strong>the</strong> Deputy by <strong>the</strong>m when available.<br />
