County Kerry will qualify for inclusion under <strong>the</strong> treatment abroad scheme, in view <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

lack <strong>of</strong> suitable treatment for <strong>the</strong>ir condition here; and if he will make a statement on <strong>the</strong><br />

Minister <strong>of</strong> State at <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Health (Deputy Róisín Shortall): As this is a service<br />

matter it has been referred to <strong>the</strong> Health Service Executive for direct reply to <strong>the</strong> Deputy.<br />

730. Deputy Ca<strong>the</strong>rine Murphy asked <strong>the</strong> Minister for Health if any remuneration, stipend,<br />

expense facility, financial facility or similar payment is being made from <strong>the</strong> Exchequer to any<br />

senior public servant who has retired from his Department or <strong>the</strong> Health Service Executive<br />

beyond any accrued pension entitlements; if any such payment has been sanctioned for current<br />

senior public servants who are about to retire from his Department or <strong>the</strong> Health Service<br />

Executive; if he will list <strong>the</strong> name, positions and details <strong>of</strong> any relevant moneys paid or scheduled<br />

to be paid <strong>of</strong> any person in receipt <strong>of</strong> or sanctioned to receive such a payment; and if he<br />

will make a statement on <strong>the</strong> matter. [8280/12]<br />

Minister for Health (Deputy James Reilly): The table details payments made by my Department<br />

to retired employees <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Health or <strong>the</strong> HSE for specific projects or<br />

tasks. No o<strong>the</strong>r such payments have been approved for staff due to retire from <strong>the</strong> Department<br />

in <strong>the</strong> near future.<br />

With regard to <strong>the</strong> Health Service Executive, <strong>the</strong>y have been asked to collate <strong>the</strong> data sought<br />

as soon as possible and it will be provided directly to <strong>the</strong> Deputy by <strong>the</strong>m when available.<br />
